Hi, I don't know if this is intentional, but I can't replicate the bug identically because I get a segfault at run. Should you compile it for a particular platform or use a specific compiler? Thx

It shouldn't require any special platform. It ran fine on Linux using g++. Where does it say the seg fault is?

OK, thanks. This is what I tried. The statement specifies that one should get a weird character instead. I get nothing but segfault after entering. I probably misinterpreted the statement...

The exact output you get will vary from machine to machine, but your seg fault ought to help you pinpoint where the problem is.
